I use the following formula to determine total daily fluid requirement (mL/kg/day):(mL/hr x 24) / weight = mL/kg/dayIf I already have the total daily fluid requirement and want to determine the hourly rate I use the following formula to determine hourly rate: (mL/kg/day x weight) / 24 = mL/hr.If you set both problems up and compare your work, the error should be obvious.
