I currently starting working for a long term and rehab facility last week I'm making 10.50hr its about 25mins away from my home it has a very high turning of cnas some cnas who started with me left to lunch and didn't come back the facility is old, smelly still doing paper charting its not nice but it was my first job offer so I took it...i gotta pay bills and I'm saving up to take my nclex pn the thing is this facility has four sister branches if I quit I lose out in applying for an lvn position in the future BUT I got a another job offer at a facility same distance away making 12hr....so I don't know if I should stay were i am and not burn bridges (I only plan to stay till i pass my nclex it.should be no more.then a year:-)god willing) OR explore.other options with more pay and perhaps a better working.environment.......??????? Thanks for reading my dilemma lol

I'd go with the new job offer. You won't burn bridges if you give 2 weeks notice. If you can't give 2 weeks notice write a nice/professional resignation letter thanking them for the opportunity.....

Think of it this way, if they have "sister branches", the other facilities are probably run the same way and aren't much better than the one you currently work for....once you pass your nclex, are you still going to want to work for them??? I would think you will have many more other potential employers by then.

If you are polite and professional about leaving, you won't burn any bridges.

I ended up interviewing at a local hospital and got the job :-) so I will be going there instead im waiting for my background check to clear super excited thanks for your advice
