Don't know where to go...

Hello everyone. I'm extremely confused and I was hoping that I could find some help here. My name is Sky, I live in Washington State and I'm 19 years old. I'm currently in my last quarter of Culinary Arts, however nursing is always something I've wanted to do. I would love to start a nuring program here but at most schools it is backlogged for 3 or more years. I would like to go to Canada or Australia to study, but I have a few questions that I hope can be answered. What are some of the best nursing programs in both of these countries? How long does it usually take to finish a bachelor's degree in Nursing? And also is there a nursing shortage in any of these countries? I am concerned tha if I entered a nursing program now, I will not be able to find a job or transfer my qualifications to the US.

Thank you for all replies.

Be aware as a International student the fees will be very high. Look at a program of 3-4 years long and Canada you should be able to meet state requirements however Australia may be a problem but you could always discuss with the university to cover Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetric and General Adult so you could meet state requirements back in the US.

Nursing these days are not in demand so whether you get a job afterwards in the country you trained may be hard however with Canada you can use the NAFTA so find a employer then get permit to work
