DON Salary for a rehabiltative facility (PPEC)

Hi all,

I am new here, but have been browsing the boards for the last few months.

I am trying to find out an appropriate starting salary for a PPEC facility (Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care) for a DON. A PPEC is a daycare facility that cares for medically fragile and complex children 12 hours a day 5 days a week. The DON would be expected to provide direct care. Nurse/patient ratio is 3:1, and the maximum amount of patients is 12.

In the beginning there would be 3 - 6 patients, and salary could increase as the company becomes more established. Is a starting salary of $60k reasonable?

By the way I am not a nurse, I am doing this as research for a new company in Jacksonville, Fl. :)

I would really appreciate any input since most of my searches have given me salaries for much larger facilities of 60 beds and up.
