Hey everyone, I could really use some guidance and support.
I was in a nursing program, but I recently got dropped because of a domestic violence charge that happened about 10 years ago. It was from a toxic relationship, and I've completely moved on from that chapter in my life.
I've reached out to the Louisiana Board of Nursing but haven't been able to get a clear answer yet. I'm wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar or knows someone who has.
Were you still able to do clinicals or take the NCLEX with a charge like this on your record?
This has been really discouraging, but I don't want to give up on my dream of becoming a nurse. Any advice, personal experiences, or guidance would mean so much. Thank you 💛
