I'm a recent graduate from the philippines, i took the NLE last december and i'm a greencard holder. Can i apply to vermont now even without a philippine license? Thanks.

You will need to have a Social Security number before the state will look at your application, first of all. They used to get so many applications from non-US citizens that it became burdensome to process all of them. Even if you were to have a license from the Philippines, you would still have to meet all the educational requirements specific to Vermont. When I attended a meeting of the Board of Nursing about a year ago, there were many cases of people from outside the United States attempting to get a license in Vermont having to get additional education to be eligible to take the NCLEX. They don't publish the actual requirements to the best of my knowledge, but the application asks how many theory and clinical hours were provided in adult, maternal/infant, psychiatric, and pediatric nursing.
