Does hiring slow down during the holidays?

I am nursing new grad, and am looking for a new grad position. I was wondering if the hiring slows down during the holidays.

I know that in my other field from late October Until Feb hiring slows down or almost stops until after the holidays.

It isn't the same everywhere, but in the area where I live new grads are only hired twice a year at the local hospitals for the most part. These are for internships that start in June and January respectively, with the hiring process beginning several months beforehand, intended for those graduating in May and December.

How do I find out about these internships?

You watch for them on the company websites. They post like any other job opening. Check daily, as many of them only stay up for a few days due to the high volume of applications that come in.
