Does high school gpa factor in?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hi.I'm a 33 year old that has just recently began college. The program that I'm trying to get into doesn't require any general ed. classes to be completed in order to apply, but they do go off a point system to determine your ranking. You need a 2.5 gpa or better in order to be accepted.I only have 2 general ed. courses finished at his point, but both are A's.The thing I'm wondering is if they go based upon your high school gpa to determine anything.I was not the best high school student, but I've been out of school now for 15+ years and am very dedicated to school now.Since I don't have many general ed. classes finished in college, will they determine my gpa by my high school transcripts? Will I not be accepted if my high school gpa was lower than 2.5? Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to AN.

I'm not trying to rain on your parade, but why ask us when we couldn't possibly know for sure. Call the school itself and ask your questions. They are the ones who can give you answers that would actually mean something.

Hope you get what you're after.
