Does anyone know....

what the nurse to patient ratio is in nursing homes? I work two halls with a total of 36 patients by myself and was wondering. I will contact state of florida tomorrow for info, but wondered if anyone knew. I am exhausted, frustrated and angry. I know I can go somewhere else to work, but quite frankly, it seems all nursing homes are the same. Not enough nurses, CNAs and lack of support from the administration. your input will be appreciated. THANKS!

Your nursing home has to meet the state ratio r/t the current census. If it doesn't meet the mandated requirement two days in a row then they cannot admit for a certain amount of time (not good for financial flow and definately something they don't want). What shift you work will determine the ratio.
