Hi,I was wondering if anyone knew of any low cost student health insurance apart from the one your college or University offers...The one from my school sucks... Or of any low in state health insurance... Florida would be mine. Thanks,
dianacs 431 Posts Jun 21, 2002 NSNA offers health insurance to its members. When I start my nursing program I plan to enroll in NSNA and then sign up for the health insurance. I can't remember off the top of my head how much it is...but it's way cheaper than anything else I could find. I don't know if it's offered in all states either. You can check their website for some general information: http://www.nsna.org For specific information about NSNA's health insurance go to http://www.student-resources.net/plans/nsna/nsna.htmGood luck, health insurance is so important but such a pain to find something that's decent and cheap.

dianacs 431 Posts Jun 22, 2002 I'm not a member yet, but I plan on becoming one when my nursing program starts in the fall, especially because I want to take advantage of the health insurance. I don't remember right now how much the membership is. If it allows me to get affordable, decent health insurance, it's worth it to me. Hope everything works out.
