I am trying to decide if I want to do an acute care PNP program or primary care PNP program. There are a lot of things going into my decision besides money but I thought I would gather information about the money part too. Any insights between pay in your cities/areas? I know that both primary care and acute care can work in outpatient clinics so maybe the pay there is the same?

In my organization - yes. Because PNPs are employed on clinics, and ACNPs work in the hospital... shift coverage with higher level of responsiblity. I guess the trade-off is higher pay, but with less desirable hours and more stress.
