Doctor's Community Hospital

Published

Anybody familiar with Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, MD? Has anyone interned or worked there? I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Thanks!

My mom is working there again (she worked there in the `90s but left). She said they've made a lot of improvements since then & the pay is pretty good too. And when she was in orientation there were also a lot of new grad RN's there too, so that was pretty encouraging to hear since a lot of hospitals in there area seem to be weary of hiring new grads right now.

Thanks for the info! I know some folks that work (or worked) there and they liked it...but they were not RNs. One was a PT and the other a RT. Since its so close to my home I'm hoping to apply there for an internship and hopefully a job.

Go for it! And another thing for anyone who is reading the boards: my mom said that like 4 or 5 or the nurses in her orientation were grads from ADN programs in the area like PGCC,MC,AACC..so thats another good thing too b/c I know there's a lot of talk about hospitals not hiring ADN grads right now..but Doctors is :)

They hire too many nurses from PGCC who can't speak english and don't know what they are doing.
