I'am talking both at the same time just wanted to know if anybody out there did the same or know if its heplful? Thanks... :)

That would be too much for me. I took Algebra first. Good luck to you, though!

I think it would depend on the level of the classes. Like, if you're taking a higher level math class, and a lower level chem, I don't think it would be too difficult. THe math involved in the chem would be stuff you already knew.

At least that's my theory since Ill be doing the same next quarter. :)

I took Elementary Algebra and Chemistry together last semester. It didn't benefit me at all. At my college they recommend we take Algebra before Chemistry, but personally, I don't feel that it made a difference. I didn't do anything in Algebra that I needed for Chemistry.

Second thought...........If it's been awhile since you've had a math course, you might want to take Algebra first just to get you back in the "groove".

I took algebra before chem. It helped me, and was recommended that it be taken prior to chem at my school. I personally don't see the benefit in taking them together.

I agree with Lisa, I took Algebra before Intro to Chem I and I think it somewhat helped as far as setting up equations but then again it all depends on what level of chem you're taking. Good luck!:)
