Depending on where in the US that you live, or what your family circumstances are like; you may wish to take a travel assignment to another part of the country and see some new scenery. It will help you decide if it is just your specific job that you are tired of, or if you need to do something else. Of course, building on what you have already done.
It may the boost that you need to try something different and see new faces for a change.

I need ya'lls advice. I have been a registered nurse for almost 9 years.
I work as a circulator in the operating room and am experienced in all specialties. I love open heart the most, that is the specialty that I am currently taking call in. I also worked for a little under a year in the Intensive Care Unit. I love my job. I love having one patient at a time, being their advocate at one of the most vulnerable times of their life and I am good at it. But, to be honest, I'm getting tired. Sometimes, this job is just so physically demanding! And sometimes the politics make me want to just stay at home. I'm thinking of doing something different.
Where do I go from here? I can't afford to make less money that I'm making now. Go back to school? Change professions? Build on what I've got?
