Do I need to apply for exemption for background check if my license is current and charges were dropped?

I went through a bad period of depression shortly after my father died unexpectedly and was under a lot of stress at home. I was also working the second wave of covid and stuck on the covid floor right after my MIL died from it as well. It was just a very dark time. My husband and I got into a fight over finances while I was drinking alcohol and I threw a shoe at him. No marks etc I got arrested and he didn't press charges but they made me do a DPA and I completed it as well as a 30 day stay in a rehab for alcohol and charges dropped and case dismissed.I got my license renewed and was wondering if I needed to request an exemption in order to work in a long term care facility that wants to hire me.
