Do you guys think it would be easy to do an lvn program and also...

attend a community college to take my prerequisites for a pa program. I have found a school that has a lvn program in my area(los angeles) trinity vocational center it charges of course 24,000 somewhere around there. I know you guys r gonna say go to a community college and take it(cheaper) but time is a factor for me I want to do cna but I should just go ahead and get financial aid and be a lvn. my main question is WILL IT BE HARD FOR ME TO DO THE LVN CLASSES AND ALSO TAKE MY PREREQUISITES FOR A PA PROGRAM? together?

I don't know what the pre-reqs are for the PA program, but I know that people who were in my LVN program had a very hard time getting into classes needed for RN program while doing the LVN program. A lot of them stopped and passed 1st semester, which grants you the credit needed to apply for your CNA and that was it.

My program was spread out over 18 months..summer off and it moved quickly. I am not saying it can not be done, but if graded are important to you and you have family obligations,ect..it may be hard. My program was Monday thru Thursday for 1st and 2nd semester from 8 until 5pm on theory days and from 6am until 3pm on clinical days.

3rd semester it was 5 days a week and we switched courses and clinical's every 5 weeks.

Thanks soo much for that comment. I have another question? I dropped the idea of being a lvn or medical assistant and sucked it up and go along being a cna. Now my question is will it be hard? to work as a cna full time or **part-time** and go ahead and do the pa (@ a community college then csu) also basically the pa prerequisites are mainly of chemistry biology physiology etc. etc. and spanish and some math

I don't think it will be hard... the CNA course is just the first 4 weeks of the LVN program..after that it will be up to you to pick a job that works around your school hours for your PA classes.

Good Luck.

Thank you soo much I decided to just go ahead and do the cna classes and probably take an phlebotomy class just to have more on my resume. Talked to a counselor today for the future school and its cheap and accredited!!!! Seems like a good school its called western university university of health sciences!! in pomona!!

what ever any does please dont go to TRINITY VOCATIONAL CENTER IN GARDENA , THE STAFF ,WITH A FEW EXECPTIONS ARE VERY SHADY AND DONT CARE ABOUT THE STUDENTS ONLY THE PHILIPINOS. MY SISTER WAS A STUDENT THERE AND SHE WOULD TELL ME OF THE HORRIBLE THINGS THAT WOULD GO ON THERE . FIRST OFF THERE WERE STUDENTS CAUGHT CHEATING ON THEIR ATI'S EXAM AND THE PROCTOR DID NOTHING ABOUT IT .THE WAY THE STUDENT WAS CHEATING WAS BY LETTING HER FRIEND TAKE HER TEST ON A DIFFERENT COMPUTER AND GIVING HER THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD .THIS WAS ALL HAPPENING WHILE THE STUDENT WAS ON FACEBOOK ....REALLY? ALSO A MALE STUDENT WAS DOING THE SAME THING LETTING SOMEONE ELSE DO HIS ATI FOR HIM WHILE MY SISTER STRUGGLED TO FINISH HERS AND BARELY PASSED. YET, THROUGH ALL THIS BS AND NOTHING WAS DONE TO THE STUDENTS WHO WERE CAUGHT CHEATING ON THEIR ATI'S. ALSO, THERE IS A CERTAIN MALE TEACHER THAT HAS A TENDENCY TO FLIRT AND EVEN FAVOR THE PHILIPINO GIRLS...... HE GETS VERY DEFENSIVE IF YOU QUESTION HIM......THIS SCHOOL IS NOT AN LVN SCHOOL ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY AND HEADACHE......IF YOU CAN AVOID PAYING THE RIDICULOUS PRICE AVOID IT BUT IF YOU CANT PLS GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THERE IS A GOOD SCHOOL WHERE MY COUSIN GOES TO ON PARAMOUNT BLVD AND THEY GIVE A FREE LAPTOP ,,, ALL THE BEST TO THE FUTURE LVN'S AND RN'S
