DNP VS APNP

Hi, 

I am currently at MSN prepared Forensic Nurse Examiner.  I love it. Is it worth going back to school for my DNP to possibly get a raise and further the field more, or go for my MSN FNP and hopefully become a Forensic Nurse Practitioner. Please advise.

Just my $0.02 but DNP gets you no more money. IMHO DNP only useful if you plan to go to academia. What is your ultimate goal? FNP or Forensic Nurse? What kind of job do you want to get?
