I am hoping that I get accepted to the online cnm/whnp program at UC Fall 07 (I have to take the GRE first (7/24/07)). Is there anyone out there who has completed or is enrolled in the program?

I just talked to an admissions counselor and am thinking about applying as well. Does anyone know if this school is reputable? As good as Frontier? Any current students out there?

I don't know anything about Frontier, but I can tell you that UC is a "real" school, and is very reputable. See this link for the University of Cincinnati's history:

Their nursing college is pretty new, though - it's only been around since 1889. UC has only been offering 4 year BSN degrees since 1938 (oldest 4 year program in the USA).

I'm going through the accelerated BSN down at UC now, and am very happy so far.

Thanks so much for your reply! I wanted to do the online CNM program. Do you know of anyone in that program there? They say this is the first class graduating this coming May that has done the CNM online. I like Frontier as it is the first midwifery school, but they require 2 visits (plus optional graduation) and I'm in Germany so it would be hard to swing back to KY twice during the 3 years. Where the UC program only takes 2 years part time and requires no campus visits. Just trying to weigh which school has the better education now. Thanks so much!

I don't know of anybody currently in UC's CNM program (on campus or via online option), but have asked some of my fellow CNM-oriented students if they've made any contacts.

If all else fails, you might email the CNM program director at UC, asking if they could put you in touch with a couple current students.
