Disease Process Abbreviations

Published

Hi! I am currently doing some clinical homework on disease processes. I was wondering if someone would be willing to double check my use of abbreviations and maybe help me with a couple I could not figure out. I really appreciate it!

CVA Cerebral Vascular Accident (Stroke)

COPD Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

CHF Congestive Heart Failure

MS Multiple Sclerosis

GERD Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease

UTI Urinary Tract Infection

The ones I am having a hard time with are: (I would be happy with hints so that I can figure it out on my own-if it is possible)

HTN (Something to do with Hypertension?)

CAD (Maybe Coronary Artery Disease?)

Again, I am grateful for any help!

everything looks ok to me! i used to have a problem identifying htn as hypertension too, so i am sure that's right. hopefully you will get more responses, so you can get an a on your assignment. :) ketcia:)
