Hey Everyone!
This past fall/winter I applied to MGH and Northeastern's Directy Entry programs. I initially graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Unfortunately my personal struggles got the best of me in undergrad and I only have a 2.7 GPA. I worked as an engineer for 7 years and decided it wasn't for me. I took all my prerequisite classes and earned a perfect 4.0.
I was put on the wait list at MGH and still haven't heard back from Northeastern. Is anyone out there still waiting to hear back from NEU? Does anyone have any experience with being put on a wait list? I know that my undergrad GPA is bad, but my prereqs are great, I've been a working professional for 7 years, I wrote a stellar personal statement letter, and I believe that my letters of recommendation were positive.
Feeling really anxious about not having a yes or no from either school. Any advice would really help.
Thanks
BUMP, please help

You might get more responses if you post to the Massachusetts Nursing section: https://allnurses.com/massachusetts-nursing/
I've never been on a wait list, but if I were you I would try to find out approx. how many students are placed on waitlist and how many of those are accepted. Also, if you know that they're in the process of considering wait-list candidates, you can write an email to admission to reiterate your interest and highlight your achievements. Have you done anything more since your application that's relevant to nursing (e.g. CNA)? If you have, highlight it.
