I applied to Northampton Community College for the Fall 2010 semester but did not get accepted because I was missing a few classes. On their website it says that you do not need any prerequisites other than HS courses but since there are a lot of applicants, they accept those that take all of the general requirements before they are accepted. Since I didn't know that, I applied. I am planning to take those prerequisites this fall and spring and reapply for the Fall 2011 semester. However, it is a very competitive program. Penn State has a LPN program in the area that is a non-credit program but it is a very reputable school. I talked to the woman and she said that it is still being finalized but if there is one, it will start in January. Does anyone know what that really means? Also, I want to get my RN but I'm afraid that if I don't take the chance at the LPN program and if I don't get accepted into Northampton again, I won't be in school. Nursing is what I want to do. Thanks!
