Are there any differences between night and day nurses? What do you notice that stands out the most to you? eg. patients, age, energy, etc

I wanted to like nights. It was just too hard to live a 'normal' life. On days off I felt like I was high on something! And not a good something! I so dislike the politics, backstabbing and other crap that comes into play on days. I REALLY like an evening 3-11 shift but this is rare nowadays. So I will try to find that situation. It does still exist.

from my experience, I don't mind 1 week of nights per month, night shift allows me to escape from the politics of senior nurse managers during the day time - then again, this is coming from a guy in his late 20s with no kids yet.... so I probably have the energy for it. Perhaps my circumstances will change?
