I didnt pass either. i purchased the 8 week review from NCSBN i really like it and i bought the exam cram book and the practice test book. So far i like them... i study like 2 hours a day and mostly do questions lots of questions and tests... if you got your CPR back focus of those areas you were lower in and remember to still take a day or so to enjoy yourself too... and take breaks if you need to.
Go over nclex practice questions. Learn the rationales. NOT the AnSWERS! There are only so many important points on each subject they are bound to hit. Learn the important ones. Memorize labs and I read "signs and symptoms" too. Lol I found it interesting. I passed both Lpn and RN with minimum questions possible first try. I didn't study, I couldn't I worked full time through school~ just did questions constantly! Lol
try kaplans online review. Its expensive but u can make monthly payments for 3 months. i just did the online live class this weekend and learned so much. pointers of things to look up, tricks, some content, and mostly critical thinking skills of how to tear apart a question and effectively choose the right answer. i love the book also. its alot of info, but u read the chapters then u can do online pre recorded video lectures of just questions. and also, theres a wonderful section called qbank with like 1000 nclex style questions. the girls i went to school with used kaplan online live review before testing, each passes, and felt like kaplan helped immensely. so im doing that, and i also got the online hurst review for content. but i would suggest kaplan mostly. keep ur head up and ur spirits. ur not the first, only, or last who didnt get it the 1st round. ITS OK!!!! try kaplan and utilize it fully. U CAN PASS THIS EXAM AND BE ON UR WAY TO BEING AN AMAZING NURSE!!!!
