The high school I attended had an LPN program and I sooooo regret not majoring in Nursing in High School. Here I am about seven years later yearning for a nursing degree that I could have had in the past. I am not regretting the past just reflecting and wondering if anyone passed up such an opportunity. I honest did not know much about the program back in high school. I thought it was just science courses and you became a CNA. I actually switched majors in high school and my counselor never told me about nursing and how you could become an LPN. Anyway, has anything like this happened to anyone? I am hoping to start Maria College in fall for their LPN program and then transition into an RN program. Thanks!

I think that we all have those type of should ofs and could ofs in our lives. I have taken positions as an RN that I regreted, which is opposite. The important thing to remember, is that you are older and are sure of what you want now and are going for it. Good luck and I commend you.

I took the LPN program in high school and never took the boards. :/ Ticks me off! If I would've took the boards and passed I wouldn't of had to become a CNA. Oh well....I just didn't care back then and wasn't sure what I wanted to do....what high school student does?

Sure. Life is full of choices ... and it is inevitable we will sometimes look back on our choices and wonder how things would have turned out if we had made a different choice. Sometimes, we will think that things might have turned out better had made a different choice.
All we can do is learn from our experiences and do the best we can as we move forward.
Good luck to you.
