Dialysis nurse for australia / new zealand

Published

This is my 1st post here.. ;) i would just like seek advice if it is a good idea for an international nurse to undergo bridging program in australia? I have 1 year continuous experience as a dialysis nurse and 6mos in medsurg and 4 mos in icu.. I am currently now in dialysis and would like to work as a dialysis nurse in australia.. What are my chances? Coz ive been reading a lot of threads and it seems really hard to find a job after BP and failure to do so would really cost a lot of money.

Or my chances in new zealand better? So confused.. Where to go..

There is no way anyone can answer your question. As Australia is the only country in the world excepting nurses at this time for immigration. It will/has become flooded with overseas nurses.

If you are at the right time and the right place and they have a position that has not been filled

local applicants then you have a chance for sponsorship, otherwise you will have to apply for the independent immigration, which are giving nurses (still) visa's, quickly, this allows you to be on a par with a local for criteria for many of the jobs that advertise, many now advertising that you have work rights, which you will have if obtaining a pr visa.

If you do not take the chance where will you be in 1 year same place? are you happy to remain. I always tell nurses not to take finance companies money....get it from family who will not put the pressure on you to repay, due to lack of jobs and then get cut down for ''spoiling the dream' when all a am advising ..no finance company and do not believe you a owed a place as a nurse in Australia, you should be okay.

As long as you do not owe money to finance organisations and can spend quality time applying for work.

PS In Australia there is equality- , whether you are an individual from a poor family or a high ranking person with lots of employees, from your home country, you are considered to have exactly the same criteria, if you both have the same qualification and visa and same country, you will not be treated any different by immigration or employer.

Good luck with your decision.

Thank you so much for your response.if its not too much I would just like to ask what is that independent visa you mentioned?

My parents are willing to pay for my bridging and everything. And they are also aware of the risks that i might not get a job...
