Wondering about how diabetics are now being managed here in the UK. After many years in the US, I am now back in the UK, so would like some feedback, on how nurses are managing hospitalised diabetic patients who need to be transitioned onto insulin. What diet info is given?

We have guidlines that we use to manage diabetes in both primary and secondary care.

In hospital wwere I work we have diabetes nurse specialists who we ask for advice and they have good working relationships with the diabetologists who will visit the patients in hospital and offer advice on managment if we are struggling
As far as diet information we do this in collaboration witht the Diabetes CNS and dieticians who cover the hospital wards.
