Diabetic Nurse Educator

HI! I am interested in training to become a Diabetic Nurse Educator. After reviewing the requirements for the certification, I need to have 1000+ hours in educational experience. Can anyone offer me some suggestions on ways to gather these hours? I am in the beginning stages of my training and do not have any educational experience. Thanks!
