Hello Everyone. I am a peds nurse on an Indian reservation. we have very few diabetic children...however, the ones that we do have are all type II. It is very rare for a native child to be type I. Anyway, the reason that I am posting is that I am looking for different resources for our kids...web pages, pamphlets, books. Some of our kids use insulin. I would like to put together some teaching materials for them. If you have any ideas, please let me know...Thank you

Have you tried the ADA (American Diabetes Association)? They have great information regarding diabetes . And if they don't have what you are looking for, they can tell you who does. (I have a friend who works for the ADA). Good luck. I have been a counselor at a camp for diabetic kids, and I love all of the teaching opportunities!
