Do less talking and more listening.
Provide lots of time for the practicing of skills. Just because the students have done something correctly once does not mean they would not benefit from practicing the skill a few more times -- particularly if you throw in some "complications" to your scenarios to give them some possible problems to solve.
Develop scenarios for them to review/discuss/etc. -- that raise potential issues and problems they may face in the real world.
Hopefully, others will come along with some additional suggestions.
Hello! I am a new CNA instructor as well. I have been at it for 8 months and it is still stressful. I can't imagine doing it from a small room. Don't you have beds and manikins? My state is having a conference next month to help instructors. I cannot wait!
If I can help at all let me know!

I am very new to educating others. I am currently working on my MSN ED.I developed with the help of State guidelines a Nurse Aide training program that has recently turned into a home health aide training program consisting of a required 60 hours of training. I have three in my class for the first time...I am nervous and go faster than normal. ..how does one fill 60 hours or 6 hours a day for the next ten days. .. I am stuck. Maybe this struggle is to hard. I have skills they need to do but even they go quick. Please help
