Detroit Area Agencies??

Published

My family and I are going to spend this winter in the Detroit area so that we can spend some time with my husband's family. We live in a little town in Alaska and I've worked in small hospitals almost exclusively in my career. So I'm planning on working agency or per diem while we're there, which will be a huge culture shock for me, not only a new town but big hospitals. I do L&D, mom/baby, nursery and level II NICU. Any advice about Detroit area agencies, hospitals, pay, or in general would be appreciated! btw- am I totally crazy??

Specializes in ER, ICU.

AlaskaKat:

Since winter has arrived you may have already found this out but there is only a limited, and I mean limited, number of L&D or mothr/baby positions - and in Detroit - even fewer.

Although my agency works with over 25 Detroit area hospitals, I know of only one facility looking for NICU and none at this time for L&D via agency.
