Hi everyone! I've been reading a few threads and as bad as it may sound, I am glad I'm not the only one struggling with the NCLEX. I have taken it 2 times and failed. The second time I took it, I answered all 265 questions and my official mailed results said "near passing standard" for every category. The few people I told about it said the typical "thats great!, you're almost there! keep going!", but honestly, to me it felt like a slap in the face. I'm stuck in a slump, am lacking motivation, and honestly want to give up. Nursing is my dream so I'm not going to. It is just very discouraging knowing all my classmates have passed and moved on to "the real word" and I'm left behind struggling, especially when I know, based on what my classmates and teachers told me, that I was at the top of my class clinically. I know the information, I'm just a terrible test taker. Besides doing more practice questions/tests, does anyone have any advice on how to sharpen my test taking skills?? I've been using Kaplan, Hurst, a Lipincott Q&A and alternative format book and a few other random websites. I've also used the NCSBN website (it was mandatory because I didn't pass my Kaplan exit exam in nursing school). I am desperate for help and motivation so any advice is helpful! Thank you soooooooo much for taking the time to read this and help me out! I know with God all things are possible and we all will pass eventually!

I know you are discouraged, but don't give up! I teach nursing, and have tutored many of my students who have failed NCLEX, inbetween teaching classes. It took one of them multiple attempts during the course of a year, but they passed! I always recommend NCLEX apps to my students so they can study anywhere, anytime. Check the Google play store for them. One of my students showed me a new app the other day called nclex survival guide. No questions, but good advice.
Hang in there! Beck

Hire a tutor, they are well trained to determine your weaknesses and help you overcome them
