Depressed after nursing school

I recently graduated from an accelerated BSN program. It was intense and very stressful. I've found that I am depressed and don't feel like doing much. I start my new job in a telemetry unit in January. I graduated with a great GPA. I have nothing to be depressed about. Any tips or advice? Is it common to experience depression after graduation?

Hello everyone,

I am new to allnurses, and actually ended up here while googling "depression after nursing school". Just as Irish_Mist I also graduated from an accelerated BSN program last December. Got my first RN job offer before passing the boards in March. All of it is a big accomplishment to me considering that English is my third language. Normally it should feel exciting but I am feeling depressed. So it was good to know that I am not alone. Thank you for sharing your opinions!
