DePaul MENP Winter 2014

Published

For those who have applied or have been admitted to the MENP program at DePaul University for the Winter 2014 term.

Hi guys! I tried to find it also but nothing showed up. Is it possible if someone can post the link here or on the DePaul University MENP Students and Graduates [COLOR=#141823]Facebook page? Cause I think that's what happen to the fall 2013 people and they were not able to find their group either until someone posted a link.

Has anyone else more recently heard about their acceptance--whether positive or negative? It's been about 3 weeks since my application was completed and I'm starting to get nervous!

@farah10 I think it takes at least 4-6 weeks for them to review your application. I got my decision fairly quickly but I know of other applicants who waited longer than 4-6 weeks too.

I know. I'm just getting ansty. For anyone who was accepted do you mind sharing your stats? I'm a little nervous that my GPA hinders me a lot in my application. I was a triple major in undergrad (bio, psych, neuroscience), worked, did research, and didn't know what I was doing so my GPA turned out to be 2.93. Once I graduated and started working in research is when I realized I wanted to become a nurse and now I'm having the hardest time applying. I took my GRE's in the older form and got a 410 (32 percentile-verbal), 690 (57-percentile), and a 4.5 wiritng (78-percentile). Do you think I have a shot? I've been working in clinical research now for 3 years and work directly with patients, was treasurer and president of a student organization, certified EMT in Dec 2012. My pre-reqs aren't stellar, but I'm finding it difficult to retake all of them in a timely manner while still holding a full time job. Can I be doing anything differently? Any advice from anyone who was accepted?

And I've taken pathophysiology (A) and pharmacology (B+) which are one of the hardest classess you will take. I think that shows my true ability to understand medicine, but unfortunately those aren't prereqs.

@farah10 My stats are similar to yours and GRE score was the minimum score that was stated on their website. My pre-reqs were all A's except organic chem which I re-took and got a B. I am also in research, I've been doing research for 6 years (pre-clinical so no patient contact) and I have 2 publications. I didn't think I would get in with my GPA and minimum GRE score but I think my personal statement is where I really showed them how I can use my research experience to excel in the program. Stay positive and I hope that this helps!

i do not know why everybody has problem finding it . just put "DePaul MENP winter 2014 cohort " and it should be there . it is public

I was able to find the FB group. For anyone who has trouble locating it, start typing "DePaul MENP" into the Facebook search and then select "Find all groups named 'depaul menp'". Then you have to scroll through all the groups until you find DePaul MENP winter 2014 cohort.

Can someone in the group just request me? Ill put a link to my Facebook https://www.facebook.com/joey.rahman.1

For some reason I still can't find the group. Can someone post the group page link in here please?

I was able to find it using kbondad's directions!

If you're having trouble finding the FB group, I have posted a link to it in the "DePaul University MENP Students and Graduates" group.
