Denver public transport.....

Published

....just wondering if you could live in downtown Denver and get to/from Colorado health sciences (or wherever) via bus, light rail, etc.....currently live in Chicago where public transportation is awesome, and would rather not bring a second car. (We don't even have a second car.) DH and I not moving out there for a year, but jsut thinking ahead of some of these things.

thanks!

Yes, you can get there via Bus. However, don't expect anything similar to what they have in Chicago. The public transport out here is kind of a joke, but they are working on it.

Some areas are harder to get to then others. Denver "proper" is pretty well covered by the bus system. The lightrail goes from downtown all the way down thru Englewood to Littleton. They are expanding it to go east on I-225 to Parker with the "T-rex" freeway expansion construction project currently plaguing our city.

Personally, I'd bring atleast one economy car to use on occasion, this IS a western sprawled city.
