Delgado CSN PN program

Published

I'm applying to charity for PN Fall 2014. Is anyone else out there applying? I took nutrition at Nunez this semester not sure if they will accept it or not. Anyone know the chances of getting in without DMTP 101 before first nursing courses?

I'm not sure if they will take the credit. I don't see why not, but you never know. I'm currently in the program. I can ask around tomorrow at school and let you know.

I appreciate that. Thanks! I have an A so far, I'm positive I will finish with an A. I pray they will accept it. I am currently enrolled in DMTP for summer just in case. I have so many questions for you. How far are you in the program? How's the schedule in the first semester?

Feel free to ask away! I got accepted last fall. Currently in my second semester. Can't believe I'm half way through, it feels like we just started, Lol. First semester is pretty easy if you stay on top of your studying and reading, just basic fundamentals. You take 101 and 103 which are fundamental classes and a pharm class in the first semester. Pharm is a lot to take in but it isn't too bad and was actually my better grade. Enjoy the fall semester while you can because when you first get there, you only go to school three days a week. Starting spring, its all day long, five days a week. Other than that, just try to stay organized and enjoy the ride.

Congrats and I wish you the best in your nursing career. If you don't mind me asking what was your profile score? I have a 75 without delgago's nutrition. I heard there's two sites for PN starting in the fall.

Thanks and same to you! I profiled at a 90. There are supposed to be two sites for PN, I believe the other one is the Sidney collier site they are opening. Hopefully the classes will get smaller. There was close to 70 of us when we started. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Is clinicals in the first semester? During those 3 days is it full 6/8 hour days. I'm trying to plan ahead.

103 (last half of fall semester) has a couple of clinical days so you will need the uniform, but you'll basically be doing CNA work. I can show you a copy of the old calendar for fall if you like. and for fall, if you have to take pharm, then yes, it's all day 8:30-3:30. sometimes 4. people who already had pharm in another program get to leave early on pharm days. (sorry for spelling issues and punctuation, I'm on my phone and this site acts weird.)

Yes please. I haven't taken pharmacology. Well I did when I was in school for MA. But those credits won't transfer. We can wear regular clothing to class?

On days where there isn't a lab or clinical, you can wear street clothes. Is there a way for me to send you the pics of the calendar because it will not let me post pics to this thread or send private messages.
