As a new graduate RN how difficult is it to delegate task's to LPN/CNA when you have worked as a LPN/CNA in the facility where your role is now RN?

Depending on the scope of the LPN (which if you were one in the facility you are familiar) the LPN may have their own patients. If you re charge and making assignment, then the LPN (again, taking scope into consideration) takes the patients who perhaps don't have IV pain meds, or needs a transfusion...

CNA's should be delegated asap so that they can plan their day as well. They should be an active part of report. "My patient in room 333 needs to be turned and repositioned q2 hours. Can we go now and do the FBS and turn--I'll do my assessment, then we will find each other in 2 hours to do it again?" Again, because you have been a CNA in the facility, you are well aware of how things work. If, for instance, you have a floor full of total cares with a couple of assist onlys, perhaps it is not imperative that the assist onlys have a shower that day--as turning and repositioning is a most of the shift job x____ patients.

Don't just "delegate" randomly, or just because "you can".
