Degrees in Conjunction With BSN

Published

Hi I was wondering as a new nursing student although I may not have a lot of free time. What are good Bachelors to pair with my BSN to give me better advantages as a nurse in the workforce?

Specializes in L&D, OBED, NICU, Lactation.

Without more information about your interests and potential career path, it's very hard to answer this question. It makes no sense to do a degree in something JUST because you think it will give you a headstart for an RN position. Since you posted this in nurse management, you could always take some business courses if you are interested in that path. I have my BSN and MBA which is always a helpful combination. If I had given it a little more thought, I would have done the dual MBA/MSN.

Sorry I'm just figuring out how to post things and use this. But my goal is to become a nurse anesthetist. So that or any certifications would be helpful. I was told critical care would be the place for me to start.
