Defunct LVN School

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello All. I need help. The school I attended - Vocational Nursing School of California (graduated 1977) - is apparently now defunct. My license has expired and I'll need to take the re-licensure exam. In order to apply for the test I need a sealed copy of my transcripts to send to the Board with my application. I have in my possession an unsealed copy, which I had requested in 1981, for my own records. I have a feeling that the school is now doing business under another name. The last known address I had was on Orange Ave. in Anaheim. It is now a Church!

Does anyone have information for me? I've been researching, but to no avail. I feel like Indiana Jones!!

Thanks in advance for any help. I guess the moral of the story is: Never let your license expire! :(

Have you contacted the Board to see what they say about this situation?

I have tried (in vain) numerous times to contact the Board. I have called and called but only receive a busy signal. I also emailed them, with zero response.

That sounds like par for the course. The only time I've ever been able to contact the Board was when I drove up there and went into the office in person. Keep trying. Surely, they should have a solution for you short of repeating nursing school.

[email protected] this is the email that I used when inquiring about my IP. I got a response in less than 48 hours. Try it, and best of luck to you.
