Death: A Human Comedy

A Human Comedy is defined with, "the whole variety of human life", and death is part of that whole variety.

This thread was inspired by @sideshowstarlet 's thread "The Light At the End of the Tunnel" which what many people who have experienced an NDE see. A virtual plethora of thoughts have come to mind, which is fodder for artistic expression. It has been said, "Where there is a thought, there can be art", so ever thus.

A connection of a series of events which cumulate in as many thoughts need to be expressed, and a point of reference was this logo:

"Alternative perspectives to conventional notions" is an artist's role in society, so this perspective was considered:

One definition of art is, "the manipulation of media done so in order to achieve an emotional response", and we all have feelings toward death, usually negative. An alternative perspective would be to find death positive, yet not in the sense of it being a release from pain, but more like an anticipated destination.

A relatively new friend, knowing my professional background yesterday wanted to share with me some concerns and fears. I sensed the individual's bottom line fear was of death, so after validating their feelings, supplying them with possible paths to take in order to deal with those concerns, I took out my wallet and laid it on the table. On the outside of my wallet, I've made a logo similar to Cracker Jack's "Toy Surprise inside!":
