Hi,
I have been reviewing the posts concerning deaconess and I am considering applying for next year. My concern is the clinicals. For those of you who are currently doing your clinicals how is that working out? Are all of your clinicals done at one place? Are the other nurses very helpful or do they kind of let you fend for yourself? Is there a mentor? Just one nurse that is helping you along or a team of nurses? What about the different areas of nursing are you on one floor or do you get to rotate?
I am planning to do a lpn program locally. It starts in October. I am only doing the lpn, b/c there is a waiting list for the RN, plus I want to start working nights, so that I can attend school during the day. I may have to rethink my plan if i attend deaconess. I would appreciate any input on the school.
