Can anyone tell me what is the process for applying for a DEA registration in another state? I am assuming that I have to apply again for the new state. How do I do that? Another $731? Will it essentially be the same number? Will the process be any faster than the first time? Thanks.

Yes, you just apply to DEA again in another state just like submitting a new application. Another $731! It will be a different number.

I have two DEA numbers in two different states. The processing time is the same. It took 7-10 days. They are pretty quick.

Thanks for asking and answering this question. I was wondering this in case I take a job that requires me to cross state lines. This forum is the best!
