Hi everyone,
I am currently on the waiting list for the 2009 Nursing Program at DCCC. I am assuming that I am not going to be offered a seat and therefore want to start preparing to sit for the NET for admission to the 2010 program. I am confident in my Math skills. However, I only got 70% on the Reading Comp section. I have the NET Study Guide. I found it helpful for the math but not so much for the Reading Comp. Can anyone give me some advice on what helped them better prepare for the test? I have been out of high school for over 15 years so these subjects are not fresh in my memory.
Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
With a 94 you are guaranteed to be in. I think I need to stop reading the posts here on the forums because it only makes me paranoid and I wind up going crazy wondering if I will get in or not. I sat for the NET again on Wedsnesday hoping to boost my score a bit but wasn't feeling so hot (yes, I should have rescheduled), and wound up only getting an 85. Nonetheless, they will take my 91... I got an 83 last year and by the time May came I was #11 on the waitlist so when I really stop to think about it, I am confident that I will get offered a seat. I just keep secondguessing myself.
As for A&P, I am wowed that you are maintaining an A average. I am really struggling with the class and my instructor leaves a lot to be desired. I am just concentrating on passing so I can take A&P II in the spring.
I wish you the best, check back in when you get your letter in January!

I probably will just go with my composite and apply next week. I can't afford to take another day off. If 94 does not get me in - i don't belong there!!!
as for immaculata A&P - the online class is great. I only have to go to class on test nights - even the tests are online - as well as the
lab parts - it is basically independent study - which works for me - the book was expensive, as is the tuition, but I am hoping for tuition reimbursement from my employer - as long as I keep my A.
Good luck - hopefully i will see you next fall - let me know how you make out.
I can't imagine a score in the 90's not making it.
Good luck,
