DCCC Chester County Applicants 2010 N/WE

I guess the average scores are so low since everyone takes the NET several times - my first time i got 98 on the math but 64 on reading, since i took too long and ran out of time - not even finishing - my computer locked up for a minute also - very frustrating.

I work with a gal whose friend couldn't even get a passing grade on the NET - so those scores lower the average.

I hope we find out before christmas - this waiting is driving me crazy.

the day program would be great , b ut i have to work - i am wondering how i am going to work days, school at night and practicals on the weekend - i will never see my kids - but it is only for 4 semesters - i have all the required courses done.

i hope you get in!!! I think they like to scare us into taking t he test multiple times. And of c ourse spending $35 on their NET book.

I know people who go to CAT Brandywine - get their LPN then get their RN online.

Hang in there! It will be worth it. :yeah:

Thanks! I hope you get in too! I took the test three times and the first time did about as well as you did. My third time was the best and made it into the low 90s. I just hope that a score in the 90s will cut it!

You hang in there too! Do you know if there is more interest in Delaware or Chester County?

I just received my acceptance letter today for Fall 2010 night/weekend chester county. :specs:

The letter states I need to reply by January 15 or my place will be given up. No money

necessary until may 1.

I just found out today that I got in :yeah: I was really surprised to hear so soon; wasn't expecting to hear something until the end of December at the earliest. I'm glad I registered for the Math for Nurses course that starts in January! Has anyone taken this course?

Where are you taking the math for nurses? I was going to try to study the book and test

out of it at the spring meeting. (Guess I should buy the book) I am currently taking

A & P.

This will be great! Of course, I can't wait to not have a life starting next fall for 2 years!!! :eek:

Okay - that is 3 of us? Do you know anyone else who applied or got in?

I didn't know we could test out of it! Maybe I'll try to do that before the course starts. I'm scheduled to take it at Chester County starting the end of January. I think it's only a 4-6 week course. Congrats to both of you on getting in! It was a nice surprise :-) I don't know of anyone else who has applied, but do know two people who just started the program this fall at Main Campus (one is going during the day and the other at night). They are both doing well in the program. I think the semesters will fly by. I'm currently taking a Microbiology course and can't believe the semester is almost over. Any idea of what month the spring meeting will be? Good luck with your A&P final! I'll see you in the spring!!!

Just posting a Congrats to lbamom because I got in and I know you had to since you had a 94! Yay us. I was #2 on the waiting list at beginning of Dec, but got a spot as of Wednesday! Soo Excited! I suppose I will see ya in the fall!

Ok, Just read the rest of the posts after posting my last one! Congrats to everyone who got in. We should all meet sometime before we go into the program since we will be working closeley for two years together!

How do you test out of Math for Nurses? I would love to do that as I am taking A&P 2 in spring and can't fit it in. I have a vacation in July, and would miss the last class of summer 1 and I don't think they do it in summer II.

Just found out I got an A in A&P I too. This is a great Christmas. :yeah:
