Day shifts as a traveler?

Published

I'm currently talking to a travel company and was excited to pick my first assignment! When I finally got the call they offered me a night shift. I have never worked nights and as my first assignment do not want to start on nights. With this being said, the recruiter said they had no day shifts in the med/surg, med/tele, ortho areas. Its been a week now and I haven't got anything yet!

Are day shifts impossible to find?

Also I am talking to freedom, applied with Talemed- but talemed I haev only got one email from in two weeks, anyone recommend a company thats on top of there game?

Thanks!

I think it all depends on your specialty as far as what positions are available. I'm new to travel, but there seems to be a good mix of days, nights, and rotating schedules in my field.

I have had problems with Talemed as well!! I filled out an application, spoke to a recruiter who seemed energetic, and was told he was going to email me more paperwork, which I never received. I have left several messages with him over the last few weeks and have yet to hear anything, so I'm done. It's kinda surprising since they were ranked so highly by Highway Hypodermics... Anyway, I ended up going with Cross Country and Premier.

Thanks for your feedback! :) I'm hoping something will come along,, I'm looking at a couple different companies now.

Sign up with several companies...Don't limit yourself to just 2. There are too many companies out there willing to work with their nurses. If we aren't working they aren't getting paid either....
