Does anyone know anything about Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, CT?

Hey, thats my local hospital! I've never worked there but I'll tell ya what I know.
I was born there, and my kids were born there. They have an awesome birthing center, but the rest of the hospital is definently a "small town" kinda place. Actually friends of ours just brought their 4month old there with what ended up being RSV and as soon as they walked in the ER they were told that they do not take care of babies with that kind of problem. They ended up having to go up to UMASS. There are a lot of things they don't "deal with" and are always sending people to other hospitals. To an outsider they seem behind the times and not as up-to-date on certain things but if you're looking for a basic hospital to start in, they're ALWAYS hiring (and they offer tution reimbursement).

If you're not far from Norwich, check out Backus. They just added on to the ER and something else (I can't remember exactly what) and I know they're having a RN job fair in the next week or two. Their website speaks of an awesome orientation whereas Day Kimball says nothing about it.
