Looking for some advice on how other agencies handle 14day supervisions...seems that all to often we end up making extra visits just to do the supervision. For example we have a patient needs to be seen tomorrow for the HHA supervisory visit(it is the 14th day), he is also due for Recertification visit but the fist day of the 5-day window for completing OASIS doesn't start until the day after the supervisory visit is due,,,,so now we end up making another visit for the Recert...hate to waste the time making extra visits just to complete paperwork.

How often is the patient seen? I usually try to space the visits about a week apart that way i'm not doing back to back or senseless visits (or worse, unpaid sups!)
Unfortunately we have quite a few that are montly for catheter changes or B12s, so we end up having to do an unpaid sup at least once a month, but we don't want to have to do any more than we have to,, the OASIS visit dates and the HHA sup dates just never seem to fall together,, so we end up making another unpaid visit.
