Davita Manager to FMC Manager to DCI possibly?

Published

I have work in dialysis for years and have been a FA at Davita and a Clinical Manager at FMC. I have been offered a job as Nurse Manager at DCI.

Does anyone have an insight on how Davita/FMC management compares to DCIs?

I left the other two position due to unrealistic expectations from staff ratios to work load, is DCI the same?

I really want to get back into dialysis and I love management just can't be expected to move mountains when all I am given is a beach bucket and shovel.

One of the most intelligent, well rounded, level headed, and business savvy FA's I've been priviledged to work under, left FMC for exactly the reasons mentioned.

She now works in a hospital-owned Acute program, and is enjoying it immensely.

I cannot comment as to Davita/FMC vs. DCI as while I know some about the former, I do not have enough information to give objective and knowledgable comparisons.

You might also look into IDS (Innovative Dialysis). Smaller, for-profit company with a different business model. Last I knew, they balanced the for-profit aspect with excellent support of their individual facilities and staff.

Good luck.
