Hey everyone. I've been an lpn for 7 years now and just applied to finish up prereqs. I'm so nervous to be starting this journey and wanted to connect with others who plan to apply in 2026.
If anyone comes across this chat and would like to join the facebook chat community, heres the link. I don't have facebook only messenger but excited to talk to everyone https://m.me/cm/AbZedkvhEk9_7J2R/?send_source=cm%3Acopy_invite_link
Thank you! haha that's very odd that it was and I'm honestly not sure as I never added it up but I will do that in a bit then let you know. I can tell you I made a 70.8 on TEAS - I actually took it from home & highly recommend it for those that have any type of test anxieties or focusing issues.
Yes I saw that but was hoping that someone decided to apply early LOL
Thank you! I graduated in 2014 so I'm unsure of what all my exact grades were but I know I made A's in both A&P, ENG 111, PSY 150 & 241 then 70.8 TEAS with 65.9% in science & 10+ years of experience. I added the other (3) classes on the B point scale, even though I think I made A's in those as well, but doing so gave me a 26/36 total. It's not exact but gives you an idea.
I have a friend in the program now, and she scored a lot less than me overall and got in so I would say your 21 now is enough but of course more is always best!
I graduated highschool in 2013, got my associates in science in 2014, and graduated from a 1 year lpn program in 2017. I've made 2 previous attempts to go back and finish up bio but was not in the best headspace. This time im motivated and ready! I have a 94 in the anatomy class so far. I figure if its meant to be it will happen and if not im okay where I am. Im still working hard tho. 💪How soon do they require your background, drug test, immunizations etc to be returned?
That's awesome! But I'm confused on how you graduated an LPN program without having A&P? I've never seen a college that doesn't require it so can I ask where you went? I'm truly curious! I can relate as I went back in 2016 but dropped out as it was too much on my family. Life happens and instead of staying down, you pushed through and are now back at it so kudos to you for being driven and determined to achieve your goal! I know you'll do great! I'm a firm believer in what's meant to be will be.
Well, acceptance was announced on 1/24 and I just received the first email today about getting all that prepared, along with signing up for subscriptions needed throughout the program so a few weeks time.
So I have bio 163 which was a combo class offered at ddcc back in the day meant to fast track 165 and 166 together. It was acceptable for most lpn prograns while the seperate classes were required for RN and had to be from the same school. I finished 165 and dropped 166 for my mental health and then they archived the classes and no longer teach them at ddcc. They only offer 168 and 169 now unless you have 165/166 from the same school. Since I did 163 and 165 at ddcc theres no way for me to finish the set without starting over. I kinda screwed myself over there. My lpn was from ftcc.

I'm scheduled for Jan 14. Honestly, don't know if I'm ready. LOL.
