Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Anyone applying? I'm still waiting on the updated packet, but I plan to apply. I have all my classes. Post your Teas score and how long you have been an LPN. We can all come together on this post. I know it's early, but I'm reaching out. Let the wait begin.

Hi ! Yes I did! It is so wonderful to find a program that you can complete online and still be able to work. I am so incredibly anxious!  I am praying that as soon as the deadline for applications end- that they will send out letters. Fingers crossed! W

Oh my gosh!! Raqui!! I was like wait a minute!! The last name didn't register at first! Wouldn't it be crazy if we did nursing school together again!!

Hi. I did my application as well for fall 2021. I got a 74 on the TEAS so I’m not too hopeful but we’ll see. Good luck

Hi there Brandy! I am so glad to connect with other people that are applying.  Do you think that the TEAS score is a big determining factor? I hope we get our letters soon!

Hey, I am not sure how big determining factor the test is but I’m hoping it’s not. Hoping they look at the overall package. I find the science portion of the TEAS is the most difficult test I ever have taken. Math and reading and the English part I excelled. I hope that counts for something LOL. Are there any other online programs? For me having 3 kids hs,ms, and a toddler I have to do an online program. My daughter is a freshman and my goal is I have to be an RN before she starts college. I said I was going to do it years ago but life just got in the way.

I'm surprised yall haven't heard anything.

Really for fall 2021? The deadline was February 26 and they said they will let us know by March 26. Is it usually faster?

Yes, the deadline for submissions was Feb 26th and they said by March 26th. I was hoping that they would begin sending letters out immediately. But nothing yet. Do you know if there are a lot of applicants? Like returning students from Davidson LPN program ?

I am in the same situation. I went through LPN Nursing school as single mom about 11 years ago. I was never able stop working to attend a traditional ADN program. I need to keep working while I go to school. I have a teen and toddler as a well. I hope that the whole package counts. I took the TEAS one time almost 13 years ago prior to nursing school. I felt like the science part was basic molecular science which I studied Ions ago! I wished it would have been more nursing science that I am familiar with daily. I pray that the TEAS isn't the only thing that matters. Praying they send letters soon! This wait is killer !

I wish we would hear, either way, soon! They said we should know by March 26th. I was hopeful they would send letters as soon as the admission deadline passed which was Feb 26th. But nothing yet! Did you guys find out right after the deadline passed? I have heard there were some changes with the Dean of Nursing there. Is this year different ?

Yes. I'm in the last semester of it now and we found out the end of January!

They changed the requirements and dates this year so no it's not a bad thing.
