Any Darton College Student?

What was your first semester like and when did the clinicals start? I am applying for Summer 2012 and just wanted to know before I pay for a cruise that is schedule for June 2012.

I applied to the Albany traditional track as well. I am anxiously waiting for January 9th!

Are any of you planning to take the CPR class on Dec. 15th? I plan to be there!

I also am doing the Albany traditional track. Can't wait to get started! I was thinking about doing the CPR class dec. Did you call and pre register for it yet? Pewinsto, did u get ur letter yet?

I am registering today. I went by Monday to register, but didn't take my checkbook (gotta pay at time of registration). If you register, let me know! I'll be looking for you!

Did you have to register for classes too? I tried to reg. for classes yesterday and I can't until Jan. 3rd since I'm transfering from a different school..they have to have this semesters transcript before I can! I just wasn't sure if they would let me reg. for CPR? Do you live in Albany?

I was able to register Monday-I am a current student and early registration for us is now. I'm sure you can go ahead and register for CPR since you were accepted already. They require payment at time of registration so it would seem that they would...

I live in Valdosta. My daughters attend a school here so we commute every day. How about you?

ok, thanks I will try to register for it. I actually live in Perry, GA so for the first semester I am going to commute, then thinking about moving there after that..not too sure yet though. What days are your classes?

You are gonna have a drive, too! My classes are Mom, Tues, and Thur. I am taking Microbiology with Pharmacology and Fundamentals of Nursing. Have you taken all of your core?

Yes, not looking foward to an hour and a half drive! No I still have human growth & public speaking...(definitely don't want to take public speaking) I know our orientation is Jan 9th. then on the sentence below it says that classes will be held on Mondays fom 8-12 in L-127...is that fundmentals? I was kind of confused when I read that..wish i could go ahead and register!

Take Tina Burney for public speaking! I am taking her now. You really will enjoy her class.

Yes, that class is Fundamentals of Nursing. You also have to take a lab class. You will have to take Pharmacology.

I thought when I first read the letter that that was it, but it's not. My class hours for my 3 classes (fundamentals+lab, microbiology+lab, and pharmacology) will be Mon 8-12, 2-2:50, Tues 12:30-5:00 (2 classes), and Thur from 10-1:50! And I'm not sure how clinicals will go. I do know they don't start for a little while. They told me that I can wait til class starts before I order scrubs.

ok if you dont mind me asking...what days and times did you get fundamentals and pharm.? Also, do you know if clinicals will be in addition to our classes and labs? Like I said i live an hour and a half away..so just trying to figure out if I should start planning to look for a place a little earlier lol!

Also, Do you know what books we need? If so could you let me know when you get a chance so that I can try and order them off amazon please :)

Fund of Nurs Lab Thursday 10:00-12:00 20870

Pharmacology for Nurses Monday 2:00- 2:50 20872

Microbiology Tues/Thur 12:30- 1:45 20085

Micro Lab Tuesday 2:00-4:50

Looks like I'm going to be busy....did you say you have already taken Microbiology? And, did you find out about the CPR class? I signed up already...I'll be looking for you!

I'm not sure about the books but I will find out. :)
